Meet the members of the Earthwire team:
Jonathon Rayner-Burt
Graduating from the University of Otago in 2000 with a degree in Design, Jonathon’s skills stretch from illustration to screen direction and screen writing. Previously producing, Jonathon’s debut as director came with the war drama Journey of a Story,
which was released nationwide in New Zealand in April 2012.
Jonathon’s current project is an action comedy Steampunk-themed short film, STELLA 459 (www.stella459.com). Shot in late 2013, this project is currently in post production
In between a day job and family, Jonathon is upskilling himself in discipline of visual effects and animation.
Chantal Rayner-Burt
Chantal graduated from Auckland University with an Honours degree in Film & Media. She has written a number of feature and short film scripts, including Journey of a Story. Her co-written short Blindside featured at the Cannes Short Film corner in 2012. Currently Chantal is working on the narrative for a documentary project.
Kay Rayner
Kay has been the driving force behind Earthwire since its inception in 2006. She published her children’s book series The Pipsies in 2008, and went to executive produce Journey of a Story. Kay is an active short story writer and blogger.
